What is the Best Free "Photoshop" Type Download
I want something I can edit pictures with, make my own graphics and just other stuff, am i looking for the right thing?

It's almost as good as Photoshop, and the price is right. Free compared to six or seven hundred dollars.

The interface will take time to adjust to. Did for me but it is powerful. All kinds of effects can be done from ripple to lighting. Try it and it'll do wonders.

If you do like it, donate. Open source is your friend in need.

3. you're right about that
But I used the GIMP (unfortunate name) before I ever used Photoshop. So I had to adjust to Photoshop. But I'm not a power user of image editors... mainly just cropping and adjusting contrast and such. Occasionally, I'll try to do a "photoshop" for fun. Not real good at it though.

5. i haven't used gimp in a long time
Looks like you go to this page,
download and install the gtk package,
then download and install the gimp itself.
