1. Use the internet to render the MSM worthless, then expose them.

2. Find and promote candidates who...
... won't take their money. It's that simple.

3. Comprehensive campaign reform laws. Public funding of elections.
Outlaw all gifts and contributions to elected officials. Mercilously prosecute offenders.

That would send them all packing back to Vegas. Pronto.

Betya this is something we can agree on with the reality-community Republicans.

4. Their fuzzy thinking
I honestly offer this suggestion:

The power of advertising. That was going to be my major in college. I grew up with it and their version almost killed me. Nix the wind surfing, flags waving behind the shoulder, ect.

Rather someone who looks like my father when he set me down for a talk.

"You'll see it someday, I only want what's good for you"

5. They have already seized power
so it's more difficult to near impossible to legislate a way to remove their influence. Our hopes are largely pinned on exposing their threat to real democracy and of course, the current investigation is a good way to dislodge their champions in the republican party.

6. they are deeply entrenched.
some good suggestions above, but it won't be easy.

unfortunately, the history of america is firmly rooted in the corporations. the very first explorations and settlements were financed by corporations, indians were "tamed" by corporations, then by the us gov't acting on behalf of trading companies and the like. corporations have pushed for every war we've ever had and have had major influence over our elected representatives for any number of reasons. corporations have guided the actions of the us govt almost since day one (maybe some exceptions for the founding fathers-although the revolution was spurred my many economic reasons). i recently saw a documentary that said that the heads of many major corporations sought to put together an army to overthrow fdr because so many "new deal" programs were not to the benefit of their companies. the only thing that prevented it was the refusal of the general they chose to lead their army.

i believe that we are one of the few countries in the world who didn't grow "organically". the us didn't just become a nation over time. our country has been crafted and built in just a few hundred years, mostly due to the influence and actions of companies with a financial stake in the exploration and development of the corporation.

our country was built by business, for business. the favorite tool of business in money, so they use it wherever/whenever they need to advance their causes (causes=profit).

7. Stop supporting them
while they are intent on destroying all the issues that matter to us.

Or, don't complain while they hold us hostage yet again.
