Earth to Media... The STORY is NOT the scotus nomination
it's the manipulation of YOU.. You guys have been Punk'd, and you knew this was the reason, I heard many of you even commenting on it with a chuckle..and yet you have dropped the treason case of Rove for a non-story.. A right wing zealot president nominates a right wing zealot-pal..WOW who'd-a-thunk-it??:eyes:

I do find it strange how you accept this nonsense with such "fun" and excitement in your voices..and that twinkle in your eye..

But hey, outing spies is only life and death..and treason..and an illegitimate war where 1700+ have died, and tens of thousands have been maimed..

The possible appointment to the supreme court by a guy would should be anywhere BUT the White House is just so much more "fun"..

Enjoy yourselves..there will always be dead troops to return to later if the White House says it's ok..right??

1. I am waiting for Rovegate to come back on the radar screen, but it seems
I will have a long long wait.

2. "we're at war", and

Outing an intelligence operative under cover during wartime sure as hell ought to be considered treason.

And we are at war, right? Right?

Ever notice that we are only really "at war" when it serves Bush?

Rush mentioned yesterday "During WWII, you wouldn't have heard the same crys about FDR that you hear about Bush now. People wouldn't be concerned with our image."

I mean, first off, how does he even know? Many conservatives here actually supported Hitler during the thirties! And, besides, I'd like to bring up a few other "WWII comparisons".

You would never catch FDR taking monthlong vacations during WWII.

You would never catch FDR saying that he "doesn't really think or care about Hitler".

And, I might add, we not only "caught those responsible" for Pearl Harbor in less than four years after the attack, but we also defeated two world powers.

3. FWIW, Imus in interviewing David Brooks this a.m., has
continued to harp on Treasongate after they got the SCOTUS nominee out of the way, so the topic hasn't been dismissed entirely.

Anyone out there can verify?

Is Karl still in the rotation?

I'm no silly. SCOTUS is a fresh story. The 24-hour news cycle must have fresh meat. My question is what is your definiton of "off the radar"?

Are they still playing Rove's latest hit on the quarter hour and the half hour?

If so, we're still good. :)
