Highlights from a Lost Episode of Star Trek---The Squire of Crawford

Yelling "mission accomplished" over and over at the crew of the Enterprise:


"I like this outfit almost as much as my flight suit!"


And pleading with the lights not to be taken back aboard the mothership:


"Oh, but ya saw--I woulda won in Iraq. I woulda. I woulda..."

3. that episode used to make me cringe when I watched it

But I kept watching it in the repeats when I was young. There was nothing else on at 6:30 on Saturday nights.

5. Really? I liked the episode...

...the one that made me cringe was the one with the Tribbles. OY!

Also, the one where a planet of women steal Spock's brain and Kirk and McCoy go down to the planet with a remote controlled Spock to get his brain back. However, I did start to appreciate the episode once I was old enough to get the whole "so bad it's good" ethos.

7. Spock's Brain

Some of those third season episodes were embarassing. When the Sci-Fi channel did the special versions of Star Trek in 1998 with interviews, one of the actors noted that the directors were not preparing them adequately before the filming and the actors did not know how to act the scene. Consequently, the acting looked bad as the show wound down.

I guess the Squire pleading like a child when I was a child was too much for me.
