Who was the Wade in the Roe v Wade case?
I've been readint so many arguments about Robert's effect on Roe, what if....etc. I decided to go read the SC decision. I'm not an attorney, so it's not easy reading, for sure, but I spent all afternoon reading. I found that Roe was the anonymous name for the plaintiff, I found who her attorney was, I read about abortion laws back in the day of the Roman Empire and how they differed from the law in Greece, but NOTHING was mentioned of the name Wade!

I suppose someone who is involved in the law is going to have to answer this but WHO WAS WADE?

5. THANK YOU ALL!
I should have suspected something like that. I guess what I'm used to seeing is US v XXX or XXX v US because most of the cases I've read were argued by the US Feds.

Thanks.

I must say, it was enlightening, reading just how far these arguments have really gone! It was quite a shocker that the Greeks & Romans had laws governing abortion! The RW make it seem like this is all the Dems in the 70" who destroyed the world!
