Roberts & Iran/Contra...?
In April 1985 a little known White House aid named John Roberts directed Carl R. "Spitz" Channell to and Richard R. Miller, telling him that Miller and his partner Frank Gomez "are the White House -- outside the White House." By the late spring of 1985, Channell and Miller had begun raising money for direct aid to the contras through NEPL.

NEPL is one of the companies that worked as an agency to raise and divert funds for the covert activity in the Contras after the passing of the Boland Amendment, which states that U.S. Agencies are prohibited from providing military equipment, training or support to anyone "for the purpose of overthrowing the Government of Nicaragua."

So... let's look into this.

1. Wrong Roberts...
... there were two John Roberts in the White House. John G. was Reagan's assistant counsel, John B. was in the Reagan White House political office. It was John B. referred to in Iran-Contra report.
