Carville has done a great job but I wouldn't want him in charge of the party either. Too much of a lightening rod. We have whored ourselves out because of Dean's fundraising ability. Meanwhile he pushes away the middle of the road that we need in 2008.

He may not be the best politician by today's weak standards, but he's one of the few Democrats with a backbone. At this point, that's enough to make me love you, in a way that wouldn't offend Republican's.

What I like about him, is also at times what's frustrating about him (namely his blunt spoken style), because I know how much of a shitstorm it causes (and usually it's unjustified).

I gotta give him credit though for not flinching from the criticism.
