bush, the neocons, and the republican senate talk a great deal about
integrity, and honor, and truthfulness--so much for hollowness because these are hollow virtues as far as they are concerned. not one of them honors truthfulness, or integrity, nor honor itself.

honor to them is twisting right and making it wrong whenever it is convernient for them to do so, and mouthing any big fat lie or distortion that will get them what they want in the political arena.

and i have to wonder, if they have the crassness of soul to stab a people in the back, to lie so easily and expediently, to twist right and wrong whenever it is to their advantage to do so ... what kind of crassness of soul must be present for them in their own personal lives?

if their consciences are not disturbed when they lie to the country so as to achieve their political goal, mean and evil and damning as it may be-- it must follow (in my mind, at least) that they also lie in their personal lives when it is convenient for them to do so.

it seems that if a real integral man or woman, or a man or woman with real integrity, were a moral being, he/she would equally be so in his/her private life, as well as in his/her political life and that if that man or woman lacks morality in his/her political life, he/she must also lack it in his private life.

i am just sick of the republican stench. that is all.
