Andrea Mitchell in a tussle with Sudanese officials while with Condi!
KHARTOUM (Reuters) - Sudanese security manhandled U.S. officials and journalists outside a meeting between U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and President Omar Hassan al-Bashir on Thursday, prompting Rice to demand an apology.

"It makes me very angry to be sitting with their president and have this happen," Rice told reporters on her plane before leaving Khartoum for Darfur. Earlier, she told reporters she wanted an apology.

Sudanese guards and officials shoved U.S. journalists away from the Bashir meeting and slammed the wooden doors to his palace in their faces.

5. we're murricahns! we own the world! we own Omar Hassan al-Bashir.
we own the Sudanese guards and officials who nevertheless decided to show CONDOLIZA RICE and MURRICAH that they could have some dissent of their own ... and that no matter what MURRICAH thinks of them, their president, their soil, and their laws ... MURRICAH can't go in there, trampling all over their palace, their president, their soil, and least of all, murricah can't go in there trampling all over the damn bastard guards and officials who mean what they say and say what they mean!

long live dissent!

7. This article mentions no such Andrea Mitchell in a tussle

during a photo-op between Rice and Sudanese, and she did. As soon as she did, she was grabbed and pulled out of the room.

8. Her outraged self is talking about this on Imus
I wasn't paying too much attention, but sounds like a ruffling of diplomatic feathers on someone's part.

11. Laying a hand on
someone with Diplomatic Immunity (like Mitchell) could be (according to international law) be considered an act of war. Especially when that person directly is accompanying our highest Foriegn Representative.

I don't like Bush and I don't like Condi, but demanding an apology is certainly responsible on her part.

12. I don't think that journalists have diplomatic immunity
But the glee expressed by some of the posters on this thread is absolutely disgusting.
