ANWR "Rally Vans" (still time to save ANWR)

It’s not too late to save the Arctic Wildlife Refuge! This is the message of a coalition of 20 organizations who are determined to stop the drilling in one of the most pristine places on earth. To take this fight to the people, the Arctic Refuge Action “Rally Vans” Tour was launched today in Washington, D.C.

"We will be carrying two messages to the people we meet," said Rebecca Brown, one of the northeast Arctic Refuge Action van's two drivers. "The first is that there is still time to save the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge - Congress will be voting on drilling in the fall, so now is the time to stand up for the Arctic Refuge. The second is that working together, we can accomplish that goal by making our voices heard in Washington, DC."

For the next two months, the Arctic Refuge Action Rally Vans will travel across the country with books, brochures, stickers, bracelets and more. The Rally Vans will bring their campaign to concerts, fairs, parades and shopping malls in MN, IL, WI, OH, MI
NY, NJ, PA, ME, NH

First stop will be the Dave Matthews Concert in Cincinnati on July 21. Other upcoming stops are the Hickory Smoke Blues V in Owego NY on 7/23 and Lollapalooza in Chicago the 23rd and 24th.
