Ari's in an interesting position, no? On the way out at the time and had all the people and contacts...lots who liked him and owed him favors. And I'm sure he's been schooled on the fine art of the Rovian telephone game over the years.

Of couse we all speculate here, as do other sites...but each day, we're seeing a little more about what's going on inside that Grand Jury room and this is getting better and better. No wonder not only did this regime rush the Roberts pick, but had to do so in the middle of the week...losing that big weekend play on the chatter shows as they must have known more Rove crap was on the way down.

This is starting to remind me of the last year of the Nixon regime...the knew the investigation was not going away and going to get worse and kept trying to "control the news cycle" or wish the scandal away. This regime has gone to the PR well one too many times.
