1. Both have been interviewed and both have retained private attorneys
Both.

2. Yes, Bush definitely
they interviewed him in the Oval Office. I'm not sure about Cheney.

4. But not sworn testimony, right?
Just an interview. Wonder if the private lawyer was there at the time.

5. From what I remember it was just an interview
it was something like 1 1/2 hours and yes I believe his "criminal" attorney was present? I don't know if he actually testified after that.

10. Right...not "under oath"
I think Cheney in this category too? May be wrong.

Wasn't there some kind of flap about it being "under oath" or just an interview? Didn't the WH imply that a pres is too high and mighty to have to testify under oath...then, they graciously granted an interview? Jeez, my memory isn't what it used to be..getting old is not for sissies.

6. Here's a link: June of 2004
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/08/02/politics/main633403.shtml

Vice President Dick Cheney and other top administration officials, including White House counsel Alberto Gonzales, also have been questioned in the investigation. A number of news organizations have received federal subpoenas for questioning as well.

Neither the White House nor the Justice Department would offer details about what is believed to be the first time the president has been interviewed by prosecutors investigating possible criminal activity. Officials would not say whether the interview was taped or if Mr. Bush was under oath, nor would they speculate as to why he was questioned.

"I have no idea whether we'll find out who the leaker is," the president told reporters. "Partially because, in all due respect to your profession, you do a very good job of protecting the leakers."

11. Anyone remember the term "Un-Indicted Co-Conspirator"???
Yep, Bunnypants and Crashcart were both interviewed last year but we're several miles away from making anything stick to either of these. Too many bodies in the way...too many to drink the hemlock and fall on the petard (I hope I'm wrong).

I could see these goons listed in an indictment but not as targets or even subjects...but "un-indicted co-consipirators" if it's shown they only knew what was going on...not actively a part of the trafficing of the information. But it's still too soon to tell...only the Grand jury knows for sure.

Thanks to our Repugnican friends and Paula Jones, Bunnypants doesn't have the immunity he once did. Honestly, I'd rather see a Rove defanged...without his brain, Bunnypants will lose his balance and not have anyone to cover his ass.
