1. I didn't vote because I'm undecided but....
That one about old ladies spitting on him in the middle of the street was hilarious. :)

3. I heard that after the bombings and then after France
didn't ratify the EU constitution that it saved Blair from two fights on that front. One, the bombings, diverted some attention, and the other saved him from having to fight in his own country to get it ratified, which would have been tough. But, who knows, pundits and politicos spin so much that I really can't get a good feel on where Blair sits. Some people practically want to anoint Gordon Brown already and others say Blair will be around for awhile. Tough call.

Personally, I used to really respect Blair. He was always a bit too cozy with big business for my taste, but he's a Clintonesque politician and was very good for his country his first several years in office. But, since W. got in office, Blair has turned into a lap dog to a man who isn't even in his class. And, that really has hurt him, his country and the world.

4. ..................
Don't forget, Parliament breaks up for the summer this weekend, and when they get back together, it's Conference season. At a Conference is where they officially nomiate party leader and deputy every year. I should think those in the Labour party who want Gordon Brown will give him enough of a percentage for a leadership challenge.

5. Galloway is my new favorite world figure!
Plus, the thought of a side-by-side press conference with Galloway and the shrub will keep a smile on my face for weeks.
