Saturday night at "The Saint" in lovely, decrepit Asbury Park - starting at 8pm, a slew of vile bands with my homeland security instructional films in between - culminating in an 11pm set with overwhelming bigscreen video barrage by my newly-reinforced noisepop ensemble, the Farmingdale Sound Machine. Louder, twangier, and life-changier.
"I wonder what he's been up to lately, he's been pretty quiet since the election," you think to yourself. Find out the unspeakable reason why.
SEE - Dick Cheney humiliated beyond belief.
SEE - analog synthesizers taken to the breaking point and back.
HEAR - atrocious rearrangements of "the Eve of Destruction," "the Duck Soup war song," "Plastic People," and "The Washington Monument is the prick of the world" - redesigned with YOU in mind. You specifically. I'm serious. Lotsa original stuff too.
SEE - three other bands with one word names that aren't nearly as entertaining.
8 dollar admission for the whole shebang, but specify "farmingdale sound machine" at door so I somehow get paid, not that it fucking matters.
However, feel free to throw portraits of dead presidents at us in exchange for a crisp new DVD that might possibly help you grow more hair in those problem areas.
More east coast dates in the works, Brooklyn and Manhattan in August. More later, gotta make a token rehearsal effort now.
See you there. Over and out.
