"strict constructionist" is repuke propaganda along the lines of "partial birth abortion" and the "death tax". a the term is used to legitimize a republican partisan hack.

A truly strict constructionist would probably be against them.

Those repugs who call themselves "strict constructionists," however, just make it up to justify whatever they want.
