the 'silly season' when Congress is recessed and the press are always looking for something to write about? Continued 'leakage'or indictments now! Which in the long-run contributes more to helping GWB's polling numbers continue to fall? Just asking.

1. The longer Bush holds on to Rove and friends,
the longer this story plays in the press and in our minds.

2. Longer = More indictments
Judges don't approve Grand Jury extensions unless there's substantial reason to believe they're uncovering wrong-doing. The original 18-month term was extended 6 months through October which, for what it's worth, is the term of Judith Miller's contempt incarceration. If the Grand Jury seeks and obtains another extension, it can only mean they've produced evidence of a greater breadth of criminality.

So, yes ... a continuation is 'good' ... right into the election season.

3. I too tend to think longer is better...
...a steady stream of bad news for the current administration in order for the idea of their corruption to establish itself in people's minds.
'Throw the bums out' is a great platform to campaign on.
