HAHAHAHA Read this piece of drivel a Wingnut sent me
The laugh for the evening.

"Your effort at letter submission this week was extremely flawed. It demonstrates a general passivity as regarding your access to truth and information.
Much in the same way that an animal might lap out of a stagnant bowl, so many Americans slurp their information from the inaccurate, libelous bowl of the mainstram media. You've obviously watched too much CNN, pal.

Case in point:

- The STATUE that governs the "outing" of an agent clearly states that the agent must have been field-based and covert for five years. This was not the case AT ALL. She was domestic, office-assigned and KNOWN for more than the last five years. Thus, it's impossible for a crime to have been committed, even if Rove HAD said her name (which he didn't). In other words, moot point. You should have known this before you stumbled all over yourself in your supposed letter to the editor.

Better luck next time. For personal improvement, find and consult a conservative."

I wonder what STATUE governs him? Possibly a statue of a steaming pile of dogshit?

6. Surely you don't think I am going to be sucked in by this laughable tripe!
Please do give me some credit. He simply has repeated the RNC talking points memo as filtered through RW hate radio. The later is where the jab about CNN comes in. How wrong he is about so many things, including my watching CNN. I do not watch ANY TV news because I can simply visit a few republican websites and get the same information without the crass delivery.

16. Well we all need a good laugh once in a while...what better than this?
Of course it it is a maudlin kind of comedy. Sort of a highly dramatic, yet terribly shallow, form of street theater. I know it is not nice to laugh at stupid, gullible people, but hell, this one and his ilk deserve a good laugh at their expense.

All they need are a few Rovers around to drop them a few fish flakes once in a while, and a big scum sucking Rush Limbaugh Plecostomas (sp?) to come around and eat up all the poop from the bottom of the bowl.

He just wants to preen about how right he thinks he is. This is about the 4th assinine response I got from freepers about my LTTE. Let him have his little mantra..."bush is great...Just a desk clerk...bush is good...everyone knew...now I thank you for my food...Rove is a true patriot..." These poor souls beleive that liberals are their enemies. Their enemies are the leaders they selected. Taint my fault little Rovey Wovey got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

13. Simple reply: Then why did the CIA request this investigation?
I realize that logic is a foreign concept to the mouth-breathing knuckle-draggers of the right wing borg hive, but how do they explain the fact that it was the CIA -- who surely would know whom among their employees was covert or not -- who sent the request for this investigation in the first place?

I'd love to see their answer to THAT.

30. Here is a copy of the law someone sent me
According to this, Valerie Plame did not have to be stationed overseas to qualify as an NOC operative.

Also, retired CIA agent Larry Johnson has explained this many times.

The LAW!

(4) The term “covert agent” means—
(A) a present or retired officer or employee of an intelligence agency or a present or retired member of the Armed Forces assigned to duty with an intelligence agency—
(i) whose identity as such an officer, employee, or member is classified information, and
(ii) who is serving outside the United States or has within the last five years served outside the United States; or
(B) a United States citizen whose intelligence relationship to the United States is classified information, and—
(i) who resides and acts outside the United States as an agent of, or informant or source of operational assistance to, an intelligence agency, or
(ii) who is at the time of the disclosure acting as an agent of, or informant to, the foreign counterintelligence or foreign counterterrorism components of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; or
(C) an individual, other than a United States citizen, whose past or present intelligence relationship to the United States is classified information and who is a present or former agent of, or a present or former informant or source of operational assistance to, an intelligence agency.

There's a few questions to ask him
"If that's true, why was it the CIA that requested the inquiry?" They said it was crime. "Why was the State Department document on the plane on the trip to Africa marked "Secret" "Not to be disclosed"?

I'm sure DUers can come uo with many more.

34. Doesn't matter what she is, or was. That information was classified.
This guy with the heavy reliance on a thesaurus needs to understand that it doesn't matter whether she was covert, not covert, or danced on tables in bars with her name "Valerie Plame" in lights while Joe Wilson bought a round for the house.

The fact remains that the information concerning her status was "Top Secret" and all attendant information regarding Ms. Plame-Wilson was classified. It's the leaking of classified information that is at issue here.

Of course, AFAIC, Rove really thought he was outing a covert agent, a very dangerous game of chicken he was playing there, seeing how far he could push his power.
