David Podvin of makethemaccountable.com?
I read this article today:
http://www.makethemaccountable.com/coverup/Part_04.htm

in which David Podvin accuses then GE Chairman Jack Welch of getting a phone call from Bush advisor Rove in 1999 which caused Welch to direct NBC News/CNBC/MSNBC to support Bush.

But the writer, David Podvin, doesn't provide any links or footnotes.

Anyone know anything about Podvin's background?

1. Nope. But this sort of thing would not surprise me if it turned out to be
true.

2. It offers a simple explanation of why
Tim Russert and Chris Matthews whore for Bush, but I'd like EVIDENCE that the events described in that article actually took place.

3. Can you find any personal info on Podvin?
Podvin is one of my favorite writers and I trust makethemaccountable.

However, he seems quite underground. One guide about any writer is in comparing their articles to ensuing events/history. In this regard, Podvin is miles ahead of Judy Miller. Bank on that one!

4. No.
Vistors to my blog, "Move Left" can find articles supported by links and footnotes, information about me, and my email address in case they have questions.

David Podvin provides none of that, as far as I've been able to determine today.

5. Al Gore's Internets is a strange place.

Maybe Podvin is like a "source" that "journalists" don't have to protect because he is protecting himself and providing information to any who will read? Like I said, the proof is in the history.

edit: who knows if Podvin is even a "he?" Like you, all I know is what I read on Al Gore's Internet. Some things are not always equal.

6. Unless he a close associate with Bush's Rove or
General Electric's former chairman, Jack Welch, I don't see how he could know first-hand that Rove called Welch in 1999 to make a deal.

7. The Story Is Welch "Flipped" Russert
...and others into bushitas for the big bucks and supposedly relished in seeing how the money meant more to them than the principle or something to that affect.

There was a thread here the other day, not sure if it was a makethemaccountable article or from another site, but I'd look back at that and see for yourself.
