I did a freeway blog tonight. As I was leaving someone tried to pick me
up. Of course he was just asking for directions and asked me to help him find his way. I tried and sat in his car for a minute, pointed out to him where he needed to go and then left. I looked back and he was surrounded by police with lights flashing. Scary moment. What happened to the lost person? I have no clue but he was from another country and was in the heartland of BUSH COUNTRY. I think they probably took him to jail. PROFILING!

2. No, not me. I was walking. This man in a nice car pulled up and wanted
"directions". I gave them to him and said thank you but no thank you. He wanted me to help him find his way. I exited his car, I looked back and he was surrounded by flashing lights. Whoa! I was not getting in his car but what happened? I have no clue! Apparently he had been being followed.

5. What country do you suppose he was from?
...Maybe, they thought he was looking for prostitution?!

10. 0 prostitution in this area. Period. No hookers walking anywhere, as far
as I know. Never seen them. Maybe the driver of the car was, I have no clue.

3. Didn't anyone ever tell you
not to get in cars with strange men no matter how nice they seem? The man who mugged me on the NYC subway way back when, seemed like a nice guy too. That was until he banged me over the head with his briefcase and told me to do whatever he wanted. Please be more careful next time.

12. Good advice and you are so right. It was a scary moment. I thought I
was only helping someone because it really is a very safe area of town.

I was wrong and I was foolish. I deserve to be reprimanded by all. I am smarter than this. I f'd up. Please forgive. I was feeling a little to secure.

14. Don't let this fucked up world steal your impulse to be kind
But, do be careful.

If we live with constant suspicion, we lose.

16. Thank you.
It is how I try to live my life. I believe in the good and never expect bad from anyone. It may be a fault of mine. I just believe in always believing in the best of everyone and everything.

Rather naive, I guess, but I still believe. Believe in the good and not the negative. If you think negatively it will come down on you, so believe in the good and surround yourself with it.

Yep, Naive, but I prefer good rather than evil.

23. I am much like you
Far better to trust until given a reason not to. If your world is characterized by a climate of suspicion, you live in a hell of your own making. It's a difficult thing, the potential for good and evil rests within all imperfect souls...I get the impression you tend to bring out the best in people.

15. Fortunately nothing bad happened to you
and I hope this incident won't hinder your natural inclination toward kindness. Just do it from outside of the stranger's car next time. We need you around to keep doing the really dangerous stuff like Freeway Blogging.

...more likely explanation: DUI. In any event, my advice to you is never ever ever ever get into a stranger's vehicle in such circumstances again. Stay safe.

the blog was a block or two back.

I'd love to put up a pic, but in my best interest it is probably not a good idea.

Thank you all for caring and please know it is a very good blog and it is in front of a very high end mall for SUNDAY SHOP TILL YOU DROP in a very nice place.

I promise never to help a drunk again.

After such a harrowing birth, this sign deserves a little more milage!

In future, there may be some safer spots. But, I said I wasn't going to scold you.

Good work!
