Poll question: WHY IS HE SO ANGRY?
Edited on Mon Jul-25-05 03:59 PM by TruthIsAll
Which atrocity is he most angry about?

If you think it's all ten, enter ALL in the reply.

I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. Who could believe the White House would commit treason and out an undercover operative tracing WMD? Every Republican hack is telling outright lies about Wilson and Plame; they can’t handle the truth and scared of losing their jobs. The facts as stated by the retired CIA operatives don’t matter to them; McCain and Mehlman and Safire et al are peddling bile which will come back to haunt them and the GOP for the rest of their days.

Wars based on lies; Democratic senators anthraxed; elections stolen; voting machines rigged; minorities disenfranchised; voter registrations destroyed; final exit polls massaged to match a corrupted vote count; innocents abducted, tortured and denied access to a lawyer; Cheney's Halliburton and Poppy's Carlyle Group profit from illegal wars and bogus terror alerts - and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it.

We know the globe is warming and the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat. And we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that some kid in Aruba is missing or that there was another shark attack or that the hurricane was bad or that the Democrats won’t fight the Bush apologist he just nominated for the Supreme Court, as if that's the way it's supposed to be!

We all know things are bad -- worse than bad -- they're crazy.
It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out any more. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we're living is getting smaller, and all we say is, "Please, at least leave us alone in our own living rooms. Let me have my cell-phone and my music-player and my SUV, and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone."

Well I'm not going to leave you alone. I want you to get mad!

I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot. I don't want you to write to your Congressman, because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the outsourced jobs or the Patriot Act or the Neocons or the pillaging and killings in Iraq.

All I know is that first, you've got to get mad. You've gotta say, "I'm a human being! My life has value!"

So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go the window, open it, and stick your head out and yell,

"I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!!"

Thanks, Howard.
And thanks, Paddy.

I took the liberty of updating your timeless rant.

6. ...And His Continuing The War On The Poor
It should have scared people in the '90s when this crap began when Republicans declared war on the poor. Don't people understand the poor are ALWAYS the canary in the mine to see if something will work for everyone else??? Yes Clinton went along with it ~ and I have never forgiven him for it either. Yet we still don't seem to get it... Talk about welfare queens. Get a load of Cheney sometime, he would put any fictional WQ to shame! That is what scare me, that he is not called on it every day. His company LOST enough money to fund welfare almost 5 times over ~ 9 freakin' BILLION DOLLARS of our tax money!!! And guess how much of it will end up in his pocket. But is there even mention of an investigation while the legislature cries all day every day about not having neough funds??? Hello?????

Sheesh

2. BECAUSE
we are not shouting out our windows "I'm mad has hell and I'm not going to take it anymore"

taking to the streets would suffice.

3. Here's why he's so mad:
"I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. It's a depression. Everybody's out of work or scared of losing their job. The dollar buys a nickel's work, banks are going bust, shopkeepers keep a gun under the counter. Punks are running wild in the street and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it. We know the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat, and we sit watching our TV's while some local newscaster tells us that today we had fifteen homicides and sixty-three violent crimes, as if that's the way it's supposed to be. We know things are bad - worse than bad. They're crazy. It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out anymore. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we are living in is getting smaller, and all we say is, 'Please, at least leave us alone in our living rooms. Let me have my toaster and my TV and my steel-belted radials and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone.' Well, I'm not gonna leave you alone. I want you to get mad! I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot - I don't want you to write to your congressman because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the depression and the inflation and the Russians and the crime in the street. All I know is that first you've got to get mad. You've got to say, 'I'm a HUMAN BEING, Goddamnit! My life has VALUE!' So I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go to the window. Open it, and stick your head out, and yell, 'I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!'

Figured the monologue wqas worth posting :)

9. Toss up between the WMD-to-war lies & post-lie lies AND Abu Ghraib torture
The rest is bad, these two things deprive America of its Americanism.
