Which atrocity is he most angry about?
If you think it's all ten, enter ALL in the reply.
I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad. Who could believe the White House would commit treason and out an undercover operative tracing WMD? Every Republican hack is telling outright lies about Wilson and Plame; they can’t handle the truth and scared of losing their jobs. The facts as stated by the retired CIA operatives don’t matter to them; McCain and Mehlman and Safire et al are peddling bile which will come back to haunt them and the GOP for the rest of their days.
Wars based on lies; Democratic senators anthraxed; elections stolen; voting machines rigged; minorities disenfranchised; voter registrations destroyed; final exit polls massaged to match a corrupted vote count; innocents abducted, tortured and denied access to a lawyer; Cheney's Halliburton and Poppy's Carlyle Group profit from illegal wars and bogus terror alerts - and there's nobody anywhere who seems to know what to do, and there's no end to it.
We know the globe is warming and the air is unfit to breathe and our food is unfit to eat. And we sit watching our TVs while some local newscaster tells us that some kid in Aruba is missing or that there was another shark attack or that the hurricane was bad or that the Democrats won’t fight the Bush apologist he just nominated for the Supreme Court, as if that's the way it's supposed to be!
We all know things are bad -- worse than bad -- they're crazy.
It's like everything everywhere is going crazy, so we don't go out any more. We sit in the house, and slowly the world we're living is getting smaller, and all we say is, "Please, at least leave us alone in our own living rooms. Let me have my cell-phone and my music-player and my SUV, and I won't say anything. Just leave us alone."
Well I'm not going to leave you alone. I want you to get mad!
I don't want you to protest. I don't want you to riot. I don't want you to write to your Congressman, because I wouldn't know what to tell you to write. I don't know what to do about the outsourced jobs or the Patriot Act or the Neocons or the pillaging and killings in Iraq.
All I know is that first, you've got to get mad. You've gotta say, "I'm a human being! My life has value!"
So, I want you to get up now. I want all of you to get up out of your chairs. I want you to get up right now and go the window, open it, and stick your head out and yell,
"I'm as mad as hell, and I'm not going to take this anymore!!"
Thanks, Howard.
And thanks, Paddy.
I took the liberty of updating your timeless rant.
