DUers united for the democratic cause...
I think we all need to get better at not "hating" certain democrats. There is obviously room for opinions and such but everybody seems to hate the candidates/politicians that they don't agree with. We need to work harder to get democrats elected everywhere and take back the agenda.

The thing that made us strong in the mid 90's was that we all stuck together to defeat the repubs in full, not just one candidate.

Lets stand united and take back the agenda!

1. Just another thread demanding Progressives support the DLC
Edited on Mon Jul-25-05 06:47 PM by Robbien
and Blue Dog Dems and forget supporting Progressive programs.

Well I demand the DLC stop splitting the party and developing a program which does not support Democratic/Progressive platforms. Until they stop trying to divide the party I will not support them. And tell Biden to stop ragging on Dean when he goes on the news programs.

The DLC is the divider and I do not stand with them.

3. absolutely; the DLC should rejoin the Democratic party
The last thing the country needs is two Republican parties, after all.

5. Selling out for a corporate democratic cause is no deal!
Edited on Mon Jul-25-05 06:48 PM by Pithy Cherub
Not a one issue voter, but really clear on the difference between courageous political leadership and and being a political doormat.

Those who would like to celebrate or collaborate on being doormats, get your  on! I just won't be there!

I'm not saying you have to agree with everyone but saying you hate Hillary or Dean, etc is playing a little too much into Republican's hands.

8. I didn't say anything like that - get your facts straight!
Your political opinion is yours - I vote as I see fit. If you want to tell everybody what to post, how to post and be the self-selected blog nanny  on!

9. Having Biden spew hate at Dean on the talk shows is more of a threat
to unity than people posting on a website. Biden is heavily supported by Freepers. They love watching him tear down Progressives.

When DLCers stop using national media to denigrate Progressive ideas and start using that media to stop global corporatist greed, then and only then will they earn the right to request (not demand) a Progressive's vote.

6. Uh...maybe you should have been paying attention in the mid-90s...
'cause that's when the DLC Democrats managed to lose control of both the House and Senate.
