11. "Democratic" is seen as good in the public's eyes due to centuries of

civics classes, socialization (note the small S), and, not to put too fine a point on it, propaganda. Thus, the Republicans, being a) heavy into marketing, b) lowdown swine, and c) bullies down to their evil, evil souls, want to take "Democratic" away from us and saddle us with the more neutral "Democrat." Of course, it being the wrong part of speech, they mainly wind up sounding like idiots, but as we've found to our very great cost, if something idiotic is repeated frequently enough, Americans will buy it like cheap real estate.

as I like to point out in these conversations, I remember my mother complaining about the Reep practice of calling it the "Democrat Party" at least 30 years ago.

It's a childish term of disrespect. It's a slur; they know it, and like a child who has discovered what some "dirty" word means, they use it whenever they can.

I chose Chickenhawk party because it goes to the character of the membership and the leaders. Admittedly it leaves out the fiscal reckless incompetence of the Chickenhawk leaders, but it speaks to what drives so much of its membership.
