OK, I'm sure someone has already posted about this, but I haven't been reading DU as thoroughly as I used to.

I was driving home today from Houston and passed a large billboard in the Galeria area of Houston. This is one of the busiest sections of highway in the country and a very upscale retail and commercial district, so I'm sure they charge top dollar for advertising space here.

On the billboard was a giant photo of a plastic Dubya with a reference to a website:

Is this for real???

Is this country starting a personality cult???

The only thing I can ever remember even vaguely resembling this was the sale of toy PT109 boats back in the early 60's, but that hardly compares with this.

The action figures contain small parts that can be pulled off (such as the hands and head) and the suit and boots can be removed. These small parts can present a choking hazard for small children so we recommend that children under 8 be supervised closely and the action figure should be placed out of reach for children under 3 years of age.
