I have a few questions that I need help with...9/11 & PNAC
Edited on Sat Sep-27-03 08:04 PM by rjx
#1 Didn't a Saudi newspaper in the UK warn the United States a few days before 9/11? Which one was it?

#2 Wasn't Wolfowitz on a right-wing talk show and admitted to PNAC? If not, who was it? The talk show I am thinking of has a female host, that I do know.

#3 I think Cheney was on Face the Nation or Meet The Press and said PNAC was their (administrations) "plan" or "vision" or something?

I have heard of these, but can't find anything on the net about them. My google results don't turn up what I am looking for.

Anyone have any info / links about these questions? Does anyone know of any other quotes where the administration openly admitted to PNAC?

One thing that you will never hear is the Administration talking bad about it. I have read the PDF and believe it is real. To me it is a business plan for Bush that he has followed. Everything that has happened so far with 9/11 and Iraq was in PNAC.

Any ways, I am just looking for this info so that when I argue with Republicans or Bush & war supporters I can throw this up in their faces!

BTW
This is my first thread on the forum! :)

May be William Kristol. I seem to have a vague feeling that he did not particularily deny it when questioned. But i am nt sure about this.

2. PNAC is the Elephant in the Living Room...
...that everyone absolutely refuses to talk about. The Republicans love it because it will keep them in power forever (they think). The remaining Democrats in Congress regard it as inevitable.

The media never mentions it because their owners support it.

It is morally indefensible so they don't even try. Instead they talk about non-existant WMDs and links to 9/11.
Nobody really believes that crap. Those who say they do really support PNAC but refuse to admit it.
They know it's wrong, so they always have to come up with excuses, however flimsy.

Actual quote from the PNAC

"The process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pearl Harbor" (2000)

4. PNAC is a right wing political think tank
As far as I know there is nothing to deny, it's out in the open for all to see. You absolutely must read the open letter/policy directive they wrote to President Clinton in 1997. I swear, take out the references to the jews, and it's a modern day version of Mein Kampf, it is bone chilling. They lay out in writing their plan for total global domination, a Pax Americana if you will. They talk about everything that has happened since 9/11 in terms of domestic and foreign policy. The most chilling thing is at the end when they say that their extremist plans are unlikely to gain any popular support UNLESS a truly catastrophic event were to hit the United States, like Pearl Harbor. The tragic events of 9/11 was the green light these guys were waiting for to implement their wholly disgusting plans. Remember, within the first few minutes after the attack on 9/11 Rumsfeld instructed his subordinates to "cast a wide net, pick everything up related or not", he wanted to link this to Saddam one way or another. Here is the PNAC(Project for the New American Century)website link http://www.newamericancentury.org

5. Welcome, RJX
I can't answer your questions directly, but as far as the Project for a New American Century is concerned, Wolfowitz et al do nothing to hide their creation and support of this monstrosity.

The best article I have seen on this was written almost a year ago to the day by Jay Bookman of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It has "disappeared" from the AJC website but can be read here:
http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/BOO210A.html

It reads, in part:

"The pieces just didn't fit. Something else had to be going on; something was missing.

In recent days, those missing pieces have finally begun to fall into place. As it turns out, this is not really about Iraq. It is not about weapons of mass destruction, or terrorism, or Saddam,
or U.N. resolutions.

This war, should it come, is intended to mark the official emergence of the United States as a full-fledged global empire, seizing sole responsibility and authority as planetary policeman.
It would be the culmination of a plan 10 years or more in the making, carried out by those who believe the United States must seize the opportunity for global domination, even if it
means becoming the "American imperialists" that our enemies always claimed we were.

Once that is understood, other mysteries solve themselves. For example, why does the administration seem unconcerned about an exit strategy from Iraq once Saddam is toppled?

Because we won't be leaving. Having conquered Iraq, the United States will create permanent military bases in that country from which to dominate the Middle East, including
neighboring Iran.

Happy arguing....

8. Jay Bookman's article introduced me to PNAC
I have handed out thousands of copies of it.

I have a new favorite now though. It was in the September 6, 2003 issue of UK's The Guardian, written by Michael Meacher, a long term Member of the Brittish Parliament until June 2003. He does a great job of tying PNAC to 9/11 and Iraq.

10. There's no denying PNAC, since it's not a secret.
The plans, the names are all out in the open.

It's just that this information is being suppressed.

"News is what someone wants to suppress. Everything else is advertising."
