Paul Hackett (Iraq Vet Dem Candidate) Interview on Countdown Now
Edited on Wed Jul-27-05 07:43 PM by Hissyspit
Would be first Iraq War-candidate in Congress if he wins. He says he'll go back to Iraq to serve again, if he does not get elected. Watch rerun at midnight if you miss it.

7. I just wrote to an Ohio Rep that will come out for him
John Bocerri, D. 61 Another Iraqi Vet, he has been deployed twice flying C-130s older than he is!!! He has even had Colin Powell on his bird over there.

8. Boccieri is a nice guy
and a hard working Dem. We need to help him out by getting a majority of Dems in the Ohio House for him to work with.

6. but they left out
how his opponent is steeped in the Coingate scandal, and how Hackett is being trashed by a swift boat type campaign. saying he went to Iraq so he could use it for political advantage, etc. All of that should have been in the report, imo.

10. That was my initial thought
but then I remembered all the free press the media gave to the swiftboat liars, and realized maybe it's good they didn't even go there.

11. yeah, I think some people go to Iraq just to lose weight
:sarcasm:

Going to Iraq seems like a pretty risky means to an end (political advantage) that isn't all that great, doesn't it?
