Attributed to the Emperor Claudius in the Robert Graves novels.

Claudius, a life long advocate for the return of the Republic, at the end of his life decides he has made the Roman Monarchy palitable, and to insure the return of the Republic he must make the monarchy so loathsome as to make it a stink in the nostrils of Rome.

It may be the case here, that the stink of the Neoconservatives must become so awful that the nation, nay, the WORLD must facilitate the their end.

1. That's very interesting...
That may be the drama which we are watching...I see this whole thing as sort of a litmus test for humanity. How we respond to it will determine our ultimate destiny.
