23. Lieberman didn't vote? Why not?
Nelson is such an ass. And I have said mea culpa over Hillary.

A month ago things were very out of control here. Very. But that is certainly no reason or excuse for not knowing what's going on.

But in a way I wish I didn't watch tonight.

it I figured out that that was why I kept thinking the numbers were so nuts. I've been babysitting and kid with ADHD all night and between him, the chores, and running back and forth watching this I'm just totally screwed up.

A very senior moment.

as worthless as they come.

Ben, I always know how he's going to vote. Always. No matter what happens or how bad any action up for vote is for the American public, I know how he's gonna vote. I have stacks of letters from the guy. Most of them I didn't even open. The ones I did were so bullshit and evasive and ignorant I only open about every third or fourth one anymore. He's an ass.

10. I saw Moran speaking for it
so that is one. Trade is more a regional than a party issue. For example, unless someone changed votes, the entire NC delegation was against this. We are currently 7 to 6 Republican.

29. The DLC and their Corporate Sponsors do NOT require
that their members vote for Corporate legislation EVERY SINGLE TIME. They do require that ENOUGH members vote for it so that it is ensured passage. After that, the votes are irrelevant, and DLC members can cover their ass with a meaningless vote.

That way they can say "SEE. I votes against CAFTA. I'm for the people".

I DO want the list.

Here is the list in the Senate:
List of Democratic (?) Senators who SOLD OUT THE AMERICAN WORKER:

The "3rd Way Democrats"akaDLC, aka "New Democrats", aka Progressive Policy Institute HAVE found another way to get RICH...by selling out the Working Class of America. They will laugh about it over steak dinners at the RICH WHITE COUNTRY CLUBS with their Republican friends and owners.!!!

Dianne Feinstein, U.S. Senator, CA proud member DLC

Ben Nelson, Democratic? Senator, NE proud member DLC

Bill Nelson, Democratic? Senator, FL proud member DLC

Maria Cantwell, Democratic? Senator, WA proud member DLC

Blanche Lincoln, Democratic? Senator, AR proud member DLC

Mark Pryor, Democratic? Senator, AR proud member DLC

DID NOT VOTE:
Joe Lieberman, Democratic? Senator, Israel proud member DLC

Two Democratic Senators who are not official members of DLC, but sold their vote anyway:

Ron Wyden, Democratic? Senator OR

Patty Murray, Democratic? Senator WA

31. Gil Gutknecht (R) of Montana voted with us

WASHINGTON - Rep. Gil Gutknecht said Wednesday evening that he will vote against the proposed Central American Free Trade Agreement, making him the only Republican from Minnesota to oppose the deal.

"Unfortunately, when you compare the upside and potential downside, I believe the agreement has three potential fatal flaws," Gutknecht said in a statement. "They are fixable, but they couldn't be fixed before this vote."

A vote was possible as early as Wednesday night.

Gutknecht, from Rochester, Minn., did not elaborate in his statement, and he declined an interview request. But in a constituent letter last week, he said there were problems in the deal for U.S. immigration policy, sovereignty and farm policy.

39. But we are on their side.
The majority of Dems voted against CAFTA. It passed because the majority of Republicans voted for it.

I'm willing to bet that Republicans would continue to easily win the South with "moral values" voters, even if every last Dem had voted against CAFTA.
