2. washington, i take it?
ironic, isn't it, that the site of the seattle protests that sparked the anti-globalcorpratist movement has two officials that shit on the spirit of that day?

16. I'll keep Wyden, thank you very much
It's his only bad vote of the year. I have no clue why he voted for it, Nike I guess. But I sure as hell don't want to sacrifice a good Dem Senator because I know what we'd get in his place. Somebody like Cornyn, would you rather have that in the Senate than Wyden? Or Cantwell or Murray?

15. Another list with some additional information:
The "3rd Way Democrats"akaDLC, aka "New Democrats", aka Progressive Policy Institute HAVE found another way to get RICH...by selling out the Working Class of America. They will laugh about it over steak dinners at the RICH WHITE COUNTRY CLUBS with their Republican friends and owners.!!!

Dianne Feinstein, U.S. Senator, CA proud member DLC

Ben Nelson, Democratic? Senator, NE proud member DLC

Bill Nelson, Democratic? Senator, FL proud member DLC

Maria Cantwell, Democratic? Senator, WA proud member DLC

Blanche Lincoln, Democratic? Senator, AR proud member DLC

Mark Pryor, Democratic? Senator, AR proud member DLC

DID NOT VOTE:
Joe Lieberman, Democratic? Senator, Israel proud member DLC

Two Democratic Senators who are not official members of DLC, but sold their vote anyway:

Ron Wyden, Democratic? Senator OR

Patty Murray, Democratic? Senator WA

Don't be mistaken. You do NOT need to be a member of the DLC to be corrupt. Only about 1/2 of the House members who sold their vote on CAFTA were DLC.

18. Only 1/2 were DLC, you don't say!
Maybe there are local reasons why these people vote for these bills, and would vote for them regardless of Blue Dogs or DLC. Is it possible we're going to have to work harder at making the case based on the issues, instead of just laying everything at the door of the DLC.

17. Joe Leiberman's mother died that week
Edited on Thu Jul-28-05 12:39 AM by LittleClarkie
should he have rescheduled that?

Say what you will about him, and there may be other evidence of cowardice, but that wasn't it.

Unbelievable.

20. Hey, you didn't know.
I may not have Joe's back for much, but I do when it comes to why he missed that vote and why he's wearing a beard that doesn't become him.

Actually, I prefer him over another Joe, that is, Biden. At least I know that Leiberman pretty much comes by his point of view honestly, and is consistent.

Biden I wouldn't trust any farther than I could throw him.

Thank God Russ Feingold is my Senator.

He and Joe Biden are the 2 best damn senators in the Senate. Both are great leaders and voted against CAFTA.
