8. Republican Charles Taylor, NC-11, caved to Bush
Edited on Wed Jul-27-05 11:29 PM by Jane Eyre
The only NC congressional rep supporting this piece of crap a week ago was Sue Myrick in the 9th. Bush came to Gaston County in her district to try to peel away some votes. He was going to go to Republican Howard Coble's district, and Coble told him that there was no way he would change his vote to "yes" because Coble's mom spent her life working in a textile mill.

Taylor's was one of the last votes to come in. They must have been making him all kinds of promises for the last hour or so. He has some shady dealings that have come to light, and now he is going to be running against a former professional football player, Heath Shuler.

Bingaman, Cantwell, Tom Carper, Feinstein and both Nelson's. Oh and even though he wussed out on this vote, don't forget Lieberman

44. believe it or not
a conservative republican joined with Bernie Sanders to put up a bill to withdraw from the WTO.

I know this is amazing but the truth is corpocrats are in both parties and the differences between the right/left hold outs is becoming smaller and smaller for both (whatever funky ideologies that are the differences) both agree that multinational corporations destroy democracies.

I honestly believe if there was a middle class coalition or caucus in congress we might save America...

there really are Republicans out there highly concerned.

49. Here's a different list, more detail:
The "3rd Way Democrats"akaDLC, aka "New Democrats", aka Progressive Policy Institute HAVE found another way to get RICH...by selling out the Working Class of America. They will laugh about it over steak dinners at the RICH WHITE COUNTRY CLUBS with their Republican friends and owners.!!!

Dianne Feinstein, U.S. Senator, CA proud member DLC

Ben Nelson, Democratic? Senator, NE proud member DLC

Bill Nelson, Democratic? Senator, FL proud member DLC

Maria Cantwell, Democratic? Senator, WA proud member DLC

Blanche Lincoln, Democratic? Senator, AR proud member DLC

Mark Pryor, Democratic? Senator, AR proud member DLC

DID NOT VOTE:
Joe Lieberman, Democratic? Senator, Israel proud member DLC

Two Democratic Senators who are not official members of DLC, but sold their vote anyway:

Ron Wyden, Democratic? Senator OR

Patty Murray, Democratic? Senator WA

You DO NOT have to be in the DLC to sell your vote to BIG Corps!
It looks like only about 1/2 of the traitor reps are members in the DLC.

61. Duncan Hunter voted no
Edited on Thu Jul-28-05 04:57 PM by Robbie Michaels
I posted a Care2 petition on my blog several weeks ago, and after I signed it Duncan sent a letter stating he would vote no on CAFTA. He was the only California Republican who crossed party lines and kept his word.

I disagree with a lot of things Hunter does, but this time I have to give him props.
