Freepers dream of Civil War, killing "leftists"

This is scary stuff! Look at this thread! I have seen some scary threads on FR but this is just nuts!

Make no mistake about it – the Left stands against everything that we believe in. They despise us, they despise this country, and they want to turn America into something that resembles a nightmare. And as for those who 'get in their way' on the road to the New Man, well - they've got a "solution" for that, don't they? History's all to clear as to what that final solution entails.

When it comes to that - don't go quietly. Take some with you.

PS:

And now, since the Left is violently anti-American and they fear that they are increasingly being perceived to be so, they are trying to redefine "patriotism" to include their anti-American activities. And so, violent anti-American demonstrations against the US exercise of its power against its islamist attackers will now be redefined as being "patriotic". Utter nonsense, of course, but that will not stop the maniacal Left. IMO, it will not be long before the Left has either imploded or been killed off like rabid animals. just speculating, of course. :O)

Just today I had a run-in with one of those Leftist Brown Shirts. Remember the Earth Summit of last year, where the UN and the EcoNazis were in bed with dictators, wanting to with-hold grain from starving Africans, all the while engorging themselves with steak and caviar?

Well, I've been essentially informed that those starving people were just "whining". Note that the poster started a thread about "ethics"!

http://discussions.virtualdr.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=147039

They have absolutely no regard for human life, despite their breastbeating. I never thought I'd see civil war in my own lifetime, but I fear it's coming.

2. Don't forget this one by "JackBob"
Here it is:
This article is a gross mis-characterization of the American Left, that does not even add up to half truths. Sure every characterization mentioned in the article can be found in the Left, but attributing any one of the characterizations as being Leftwing in general, is no different than characterizing the racist opinions of the KKK as being representative of the right wing, which it is not.

The Left today, as it has always been, dating back to the days of the Anti-Federalists, has always been a fragmented collection of diverse views. The compromised moderate position drawn from a portion of the left, as represented by the Democratic Party, has always left a bad taste to most self proclaiming Leftists. Their failure to publicly attack the extremes found amongst them, is due primarily to a fear of further fragmenting of their own ranks, against an innaccurate perception of an all powerful united Rightwing, ready to swoop down upon a free America.

Of course the Left in this regard is quite delusional. The Rightwing in America is also fragmented (though not quite as much), and rarely ever is able to unite enough to get any agenda going, beyond the most meager defensive compromise with the Left. Even 7 of the 12 points in the article that the author says you can be 99% certain would come from a Leftwinger, can regularly be heard from particular Rightwingers. The remaining five that are exclusively Left, can be quite easily balanced with equally outrageous statements from Rightwing kooks, who do not represent the Rightwing in America.

In short, this is a feel good article, completely lacking in accuracy, and only serves the Left in claiming "see what liars them rightwingers are." Which also is not true.

Right-wingers like that, I can deal with. What that we had a few more of them, we might not be looking at a possible "civil war".

Fascinates me that some fools actually think this way:

Was the word Jehovah used in these phrases to you or were you raised fundamentalist? This sounds like JW's. (Escaping either though is fabulous!)

The family wised up and we left when I was around 12. Been Agnostic ever since.
I've seen this salivating over the rapture by knowing alot of freaks through no fault of mine own. And watching those fundies on tv with a sick fascination, the Robertson's, Van Impy's, and whoever is trying to sucker those poor bastards out of their money. My favorite is the translating of the headlines for signs of the anti-christ or crap from revelations.
But also this whole civil war crap I've heard randomly most of my life, especially quit a bit when Clinton was the head cheese.

11. I find it incredible...
that one lunatic would actually 'go for' a Civil War between R & L!

Maybe I'm missing something here; but if these people won't join up and go fight for the war they want in Iraq; who would believe they would have the guts to kill fellow Americans.

Not to mention, the notion of "Civil War", regardless of under what auspices, is treason. So these are the people that call us unpatriotic?

If ignorance is bliss....these are some happy SOB's.

Hey I've been a member there fore more then 2,5 years. Initially I registered because of the debates on ex Yugoslavia and the wars and those debates weren't as much of the left/right schtick. But I've been pretty outspoken in my (liberal) views, i've had some heated debates with them on immigrants, homosexuals and stuff and interestingly enough they didn't feel the need to ban me. Maybe because I never offended anyone, never cursed or used any insults. Just argumented my case. One Freeper even called me the most liberal poster on FR, (compared to most of them ofcourse) but if only he knew how much liberal I actually am. I am to the left of what DU is, let alone FR O8)

32. LOL....
"left of DU". And here I am thinking we're pretty leftist.

Acyually, most of the people here are moderates, leaning to the left.
I've been to sites with some very radical lefty venues; but I'm comfortable here.

As for being banned on FR....I avoid cussin', and it is extremely rare that I will take on an individual, per se; but ideology is an open field. I got banned because I spoke what I thought was the truth:

That bush has been the worst president ever; tax cuts will consume the Treasury and leave us in massive debt; and that bush lied about virtually everything he did or said. Probably didn't help when I asked for one piece of concrete evidence of anything that bush had a hand in, that did not end in failure. Not just a bust, but complete and utter failure; bone crushing failure. No one even tried to answer that one.

In any xase....keep up the good work!

Ras

16. The reason they want war with American liberals and not go to Iraq
with their bloodlust is their misconception that all liberals are pacifists who do not own guns.

Iraqis are armed.

Most freepers are blowhard cowards but smart enough to avoid actually confronting a population which they know to be capable of firing back.

Some liberals may surprise them should they try to enact their delusions of civil war in this nation.

13. Race War; Librul War; blah blah blah
The Freepers are as reliable as a telephone psychic and just as phony. They see wars everywhere, because they can't handle anything but violence. Thus, they see impending wars everywhere they can't get a grip on adult understanding.

Some Freepers are unusually cogent and logical - even if their politics are reprehensible. However, the "Libral war" freepers are just the next generation of "race war" freepers.

19. The GOP has always had to rely on ...
"enemies" to exist.

It makes little difference who, or what , that particular "enemy" might be, it just has to frighten enough people to ensure that a vote is cast in their direction.

A brief look at the "GOP Enemy List":

Liberals
Communists
Socialists
Progressives
Civil Rights Advocates
Pro-Choice
Labor Unions
Collective Bargaining
Blacks
Latinos
Asians
Education
Women

The list goes on, and can probably spill into a rather lengthy diatribe. The point is, there must always be a convenient "enemy" just behind that tree, or around the corner. That enemy will kill you, rape your wife, sell your children into slavery, and ensure that the jack-booted hordes will destroy your homes and all you've worked for.

But corporate America will protect us! :puke:

What is this shit? What is wrong with these people? These people want all out war with us. I think they are missing the point. They have bought the hate america crap. That's BS. We vote, we work, we fight. We fight for this country on here every day. The only thing I can take from this is that we need two terms from a legendary president.

Clark is a huge threat to them. Clark takes away the military. I heard that the non-officer military is in for Clark big time. It almost looks like mutiny. Clark porves that we love america, because no one loves this place more than him. These types of posts make me sad. It proves that there are splits so deep here that a great president from either side is going to have trouble bringing this country together.

25. Be aware, this type of hate speech is not limited to FR and..
Savage-Weiner. It is WAY more prevalent than one would like, or want, to believe. Between far-right Christian whackos, and rural dwelling gun-rack-in-the-window rednecks, there are 10's of thousands of these kinds of people out there.

Removing Bush from office will be a test for this nation. As the right will portray themselves as being under assault from the left, the things they are likely to do when it appears they are going to go down in flames, could be very, very, radical. They will develop a persecution complex, and some will become extremely dangerous.

This is why it is so important for the Bush cabal to be convicted of the major crimes they have committed against this nation, in a bi-partisan manner, like Watergate was. I'm not sure, given how radically right-wing the Congress (and especially the House), has become, whether this is possible now, but, if any of these so-called conservatives really care about this nation, they will step up to do the right things in an effort to prevent a civil war.

This subject is also one of the reasons I support gun ownership. Between seeing how a quickly a fascist government (ours) can destroy civil-rights, and engage in tyranny against its citizens, and the radical wing-nuts out there, I feel much better knowing that I can, and will, be able to defend my family, myself, and my nation, should it come to that.

Imagine a herd of tobacco-chewing rednecks showing up on your porch to "have a word with you", about the "Dean in 04'" sign in your front yard? Or, have people like this threatening you or your family, and being unable to defend yourself, and finding that the local authorities are "slow" to respond, if at all? No thank you. I would rather depend on myself, than in a government I can no longer trust.

30. That first FReeper is right,
at least about one part. I do hate everything he stands for.

I hate intolerance. I hate a system that promotes the wealthy and supresses everyone else. I hate a system that promotes Christianity and supresses every other religion. I hate a foreign policy that advocates war with anyone we feel like, but then denouces anyone that does not support us as "evil". I hate people that claim to believe in virtue and family values, and then turn around and beat their children and have affairs.

These people better start living up to their own standards before they expect me to live up to them.
