Troops In Iraq Respond To The "Finger" Controversy / Not A Pen Look Again
Edited on Thu Jul-28-05 05:43 PM by DistressedAmerican

(Note: I declare upon enhancing this that the "Pen Theory" Is dead. The supposed pen clip is the shiny object (I believe it is part of the mirror) just to the right of his finger in this shot. Sorry Skinner!)

If they could...

How does this guy get off acting like this when we have folks dying for his illegal Mideast folly? Sickening little troll!

2. Much clearer photo and he IS giving the bird.
The WH admitted that it's a finger...he's giving a 'thumbs up'...I DON'T THINK SO! Doesn't look like a thumb to me. They're caught in ANOTHER LIE! :bounce:

5. as much as I'd love to see him busted....
...that picture looks more like an index finger - like a "We're #1" kind of gesture, with his thumb to the left.

The raised finger looks a bit off center, so probably not the bird.

6. That depends if the part to the left is the first knuckle or the thumb.
I think first knuckle with thumb obscured as it would be if flipping the bird.

It is the bird people. BIRD!

8. I agree
It looks like the first knuckle with the thumb obscured to me too. The thumb joint is usually about an inch lower than the rest of the knuckles, and that one looks like it is equal to the rest of the fingers.

I hope that made sense.

10. But look to the right of the upraised digit
There are only two fingers there. If his thumb is tucked behind his palm, it seems pretty clear that the finger to the left of the upraised digit is his index finger.

If Bunnypants hadn't done this exact same thing before, I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's part of his character to flip people off.

14. That is exactly what I've been thinking
I haven't been able to figure out why everyone either says it's a thumb or the middle finger. To me, it looks like an index finger plain as day.

7. I think its a thumbs up.

Look at the way his wrist is turned. His knuckles are on the left.

Put your thumb up like your giving someone behind you a thumbs up...that's the way your wrist turns. Now do a middle finger to someone behind you...your wrist wouldn't be turned that way.

On edit: maybe its not a thumb. Pretend you are giving someone a thumbs up with your arm at the angle his is at. It's not possible. Your thumb would be pointing to the side. Seriously, try to give a thumbs up with your arm at that angle. Beyond that, I can't find a way to have that much hand exposed on both sides of the finger while giving a thumbs up.

11. Wait a minute
this pic is off MSGOP? You mean they showed it and are talking about it? I'm surprised. Would they have brought this up a few months ago even? Please tell me some dems are on there calling him rude or something.
