Fighting back against Fox News - boycott their advertisers
we can rant and rave all we want and all they'll do is laugh at us.

the only way to get their attention is to hit them in the wallet.

An old fashioned boycott is at hand.

Step one is to determine the company that advertises the most on Fox News. Then we let that company know, that we are going to boycott them because of their support to Fox News. If they stop advertising there, we'll stop the boycott.

Boycotts are only effective if there is mass participation and they are pointed at specific companies, with enough alternatives to give people another way to purchase the products they need. By only boycotting one company at a time, we can make it happen.

We will need to conduct a study to determine who advertises the most. If we succeed in getting them to stop (or reduce) advertising on Fox News, then who ever replaces them as the #1 advertiser becomes the new target.

If there are folks who watch Fox News and are willing to work as a team to keep an eye on the advertising, please PM me and we'll work out a plan.

2. Hi Gary, I do not watch fox-but I could start doing so.
It sounds like a great idea. I will watch it for a few hours a day and get a list together. :)

7. that's not exactly the plan
please read the top post - we are only going to target one company at at a time - the #1 advertiser on Fox News.

if we have a list of all the advertisers and try to get people to boycott all of them, the boycott will become ineffective because there will be too many people that can't boycott this or that company for this or that reason.

if we get mass amounts of people to boycott just one company, our voice will be heard.

so what we're trying to do now is determine who are the biggest advertisers on Fox News; just a short list. And then we need to determine who is the king advertiser of them all, and that's who we'll target first.

10. What a good idea. I know alot of people who hate Fox news. They would
all participate in boycotting Fox's advertisers. They hate O'Reilly and Hannity the most. This is a really good idea, and it's easy to do. I think it's really smart.
