I am a Democrat
Edited on Thu Jul-28-05 09:18 PM by ck4829
I am a Democrat because when I became interested in politics, I believed the Democratic Party stood for what is good in America.

Just because we 'lost' does not mean that we are morally inferior. If I had to choose between having Power or having Truth, Justice and True Morals with me, I will always choose the latter.

The truth will emerge someday, and the Bush Administration dreads the fact that this day will come eventually.

1. I'm registered as an Independent, I think.
I am also a Dem and, despite all of the problems that I'm seeing, I can't fathom being anything else.
Hang in there!

3. Why am a democrat. (warning religion)
Edited on Thu Jul-28-05 09:54 PM by DanCa
Actually we didn't loose the election it was stolen. Now here is why am a Democrat.

I am a very religous person and that's why am a democrat. I believe in being a steward of the earth helping poor people, national health care, and "responsible" gun ownership. I also believe in a livable wage. I also believe that my god is a god of reason and wants reproductive medicine (stem cell, and reproductive choice) and since it's not mentioned in the ten commandments there is no reason not to allow gay marriage except for someones own narrow mindeness. Gblt people are my neighbor and my god tells me to love my neighbor without exception. How can i say i love my neighbor and deny them thier most basic rights? Simply put I cant.

I believe that public prayer is distasteful it calls others into your religion the same with the pledge of alliegiance in school No one has a right to to tell others to how to pray. And my god is the prince of peace he would never engage in the war of choice only in self deffense.

And thats why I am a democrat my religion embraces democratic values.
He is a god of peace and reason not some god of madness riches and war. Have a good night people I hope I didn't offend anyone.

5. You didn't offend me!
In fact, it appears that you are the real deal, a genuine Christian... as opposed to those narrow minded bigots who blindly follow Dobson, Robertson, Falwall, and (of course) the Chimp.
