We need to be prepared to show that Bush authorized the torture.
Edited on Fri Jul-29-05 01:32 AM by jsamuel
We have seen tons of evidence (although I don't think any solid proff of guilt), but I think we need to consolidate it (even if just links) to have support for when the photos come out. We need this BEFORE they come out so that they can be tied to him and not the "lone soldier" who participated in what they were ordered to do.

For example, I saw a thread a few days ago mentioning that Bush was told by Gonzales that he should opt out of the Geneva Conventions to make it so he would not be tried for war crimes in Afghanistan, but this doesn't apply to Iraq or GITMO.

Lets try to place the blame where it belongs for once by being prepared for when the news comes out.

Please keep kicked.

Here is one thread about it:

1. No, we need to prove Chimp actually used his middle finger.
People who like to think that GD is some higher level of discussion have proved it to be false, eagerly posting on threads involving a Jay Leno joke, unsubstantiated "quotes" about labor and Reno 911--instead of Abu Ghraib and Paul Hackett, who could be the first step towards a Dem House majority, which leads to impeachment of the Chimp.

3. Here is one from the Times - Presidential task force says immune
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20050728/ts_nm/security_guantanamo_dc_1

"Citing newly disclosed documents, the Times said in its Thursday editions that despite the protests, the (presidential) task force concluded that military interrogators and their commanders would be immune from prosecution for torture under federal and international law. The reason was the special character of the fight against terrorism."
