"Republican Family Values" We have another winner!
The White House announced that President Bush is nominating California billionaire Roland E. Arnall to be ambassador to the Netherlands. Said White House spokeswoman Erin Healy: "The president . . . feels Mr. Arnall is well qualified for the position. He had a long career in the private sector and has contributed a great deal to his community."

You bet he is! What a sweet guy! A true Republican!

On the same day of the announcement, the company Roland controls, Ameriquest Mortgage Co., set aside $325 million for a possible settlement of allegations of predatory lending tactics in 30 states.
In depositions, Ameriquest customers have alleged that they were conned into high rates, their incomes were overstated, appraisers overvalued their homes, and that they learned after closing that they would be required to pay steep prepayment penalties if they sought to move to other lenders.

Said one victim of Ameriquest, "Does Bush realize what they are doing? I hope not. This guy is ripping off people, hardworking people."

Hey! Cut him some slack! Arnall and his wife and their companies have been the biggest political contributors to Bush for the last three years!

1. Arnall meets all the litmus tests for Repuke stardom: predatory lending,
a most despicable act praying mostly on the poor, is obviously not an impediment to Repuke family values.

2. And Arthur E. Teele too
He is the guy that killed himself at the Miami Herald after being indicted and exposed this past week or not exactly holding to "republican values."

He has been around since the Reagan days.

11. Are you sure he's a Repub?
I read the article on him the other day, but it never mentioned whether he was a Repuke of not. If he is, he goes into my file.

Can you confirm?

12. Teele was a Repbulican
but I don't really hold that against the GOP. He was to the Repubs what Zell Miller was/is to the DNC; that fringe crazy guy who does wacky stuff.

"Teele, a Republican, could threaten that transition"

15. Thanks guys.
He's made the list! (Personal list. All repubs with questionable, i.e., none, "Family Values". Started it for the heck of it and got a bit carried away. I have about 1,000 names right now.)

4. It sure will be easy to round up the bad guys
when this thing is over. All we have to do is go down the list of B*sh appointees!!

Seriously, does he EVER appoint a non-criminal who is not a hypocritical, closeted "alternative lifestyler"?

5. What would a Bush nominee be without...
some sort of scandal attached to them? I'm surprised he isn't the SEC nominee. Oh, that's right, they have another scandal-plagued parasite in mind!

9. If an honest man
got within 2 miles of the White House, bush would probably start smoking around the edges like a vampire at dawn.
