Police officers placed on administrative leave after alleged assault at Blossom

Reported by Joy Benedict

POSTED: Tuesday, July 12, 2005 7:22:47 PM
UPDATED: Wednesday, July 13, 2005 1:05:26 PM

HUDSON -- ...

“The one man had his head covered and was on the ground covering his face being kicked and beaten,” one witness said...

“He was bleeding profusely,” the witness explained. “You could see blood every time he was hit … you could see blood fly. I’ve never seen anything like that in my life.”

A police report filed that night by the Summit County Sheriff’s Office states a Wellington man was assaulted. His fiancée was “pushed to the ground.” The police report also lists a license plate of the car the attackers drove off in. That was a car registered to Hudson Police Officer Robert Walker...

Again, no charges have been filed yet against these two officers.

2. bunch of jerks for a police dept.
"...However, the indictments are the latest in a string of events involving Hudson police officers.

In March, the department got national attention and some criticism after officers sprayed a half-dozen Hudson High School students with pepper spray during a protest. Some students had thrown snowballs and plastic pop bottles at police.

In May, Hudson police officer David Devore got upset when a man took a picture of him after Devore's police cruiser got stuck in the mud. Devore took the memory card from the man's digital camera. He was suspended for a day and sued..."

4. If you live there
demand the formation of a civilian review board, also look into SDPD, it used to be bad, but the review board has really helped
