Does the Prosecutor have to wait for Grand Jury term to end before...

...he can make indictments or issue any reports ? Or can he end his investigation at any time and issue indictments? Anybody know the rules about Grand Juries?

So we won't hear of nothing till their session is ended and the indictments are handed down...

2. When I was on the GJ...

The indictments were handed to the judge every day we sat. They were not sealed and then handed in a batch at the end of the term. There were some cases where the prosecuters seemed really keen to have them ASAP.

So I don't know how this one works, but I don't think Fitz has to wait until the end of the GJ's term.

3. Doesn't it make ya' wonder,...at the number of indictments involved,....

,...and the number of individuals who will be indicted? Considering indications that the investigation has expanded beyond the outing of a NOC, this may very well evolve to be the largest government criminal scandal of all time.

6. One theft case...

...I served on the GJ for had like 50 separate counts. Almost none of the cases had less than 4 counts per suspect. Rule of DAs -- throw the book, you wouldn't want a criminal to get off on a technicality on the main charge when you can stick him with a lesser charge. I think the GJ's probably going to take a few days to get through voting, there will be tons of counts.

4. They do not need

to wait. There are two types of grand juries; this is the "minority" type, that investigates. They can return indictments (or decide not to) at any time. There are several sources who believe Fitzgerald is very close to ending his investigation.
