Gay smear from White House (Link to CIA/Wilson)

On Monday July 14th, Robert Novak writes his infamous column outing Valerie Plame as a CIA agent. The next evening, July 15th, on ABC World News Tonight, reporter Jeffrey Kofman ran a report that some of you may remember. He put on soldiers who openly criticized the war, and Rummy. The White House was furious. Allegedly, it was the communications department, who leaked to Matt Drudge that Kofman was both gay and Canadian.

This leak happened by the next week-end. Little did they know, but Kofman was already personally, and professionally out of the closet as both gay and canadian.

Since this one was isolated at the Communications shop, and it literally followed Novak/Plane by just days, I think this one should be more thoroughly investigated. Unless there are two bands of sleaze artists running around, most likely, whoever in the press shop leaked Kofman, most likely was the leaker on Plane as well. It does narrow down one of the candidates to Fleischer, McClellan, and Rove on the Novak story.

I just hope that somebody in the media realizes the signifigance of this. The Novak leak wasn't isolated, it was part of a pattern of the White House doing anything, be it illegal (CIA story) sleazy (gay outing) to fight off perception that Iraq was adrift.

The pattern of intimidation and revenge from within the White House is important and should be exposed.

I think Fleischer is going to end up taking the fall for the Plame leak. The fact that he has left the White House will provide some cover for Rove and Bush.

The Washington Post says that six reporters got calls from the White House outing Plame as a CIA agent. The caller reportedly said that she was "fair game". A lot of people know who did this. I think it's going to come out very soon.

All 3 of these leaks were in the same week folks. First Plame gets outed as a CIA agent, Jeff Kofman is outed as gay, and Dick Durbin is falsely outed as a leaker of intelligence (ironic huh?) all within the one week.

This is no coincidence. This was co-ordinated.

I seriously doubt that two groups of people are working the same week to both illegally out a CIA agent, and immorally trying to out a reporter as gay through selective leaking. There is a pattern forming here. The gay one, as I said, might be the key, since it at least was tied to the communications department.

Wilson/Plame stands out right now.

Then the entire country of France, of course, followed by "old Europe" (which is hysterically funny, considering Rummy is such a geezer himself and he uses 'old' as a derogatory term)

Christiane Amanpour was "dressed down" by CNN for saying that journalists censored themselves.
