Judy Miller, Rove, Bush, Wilson and Plame
I am starting to believe that Judith is an op that is not in jail but some exclusive location. They hyped this up and Bush came out against a shield law. Basically a message to reporters that give up government officials in his syndicate that they might end up in jail.

anyone see it differently?

1. Shes in jail...
she's one floor above Zacharia Mousaui in the Federal Pen. It's a medium/maximum facility. By no means a country club frow what I've read.

I think she's in jail protecting her biased reporting, and the crack dealers who were feeding her stories like Goebbles himself.

Shes protecting the administration because she knows she will be richly rewarded.

and might be richly diss'ed. It's hard to pin this one down. Why would she take the fall for the whole lot? Did you see that story about bushco telling her, "I thought you would be in jail by now". ?

What little tiny minuscule walnuts he has. Sending a woman to prison for his devious mis-administration. Oh but that pales by comparison to killing 2,000 brave United States service men and women and 10's of thousands of Iraqi citizens, U.N. peacekeepers and aid workers, journalists, the list goes on.

Oh yeah. Nothing is beneath the worm-hole.

9. Why would she take the fall?
For the same reason she has risked her life on assignments in Iraq -- because she wants to be a hero. On top of that, she is an exhibitionist.

2. You know.....I just have a real problem with her too...
Edited on Fri Jul-29-05 11:51 PM by Chimpys_Last_Stand
....after her being such a rah rah cheerleader for Bush's war, and having such highly placed Pentagon connections and so forth...her whole 'incarceration' just doesn't ring true...

On the other hand....if you believe in Fitzgerald, in the seriousness of what he is doing, it's hard to then say his investigation ending up putting her away is a sham....

It's all very confusing...but what you suggested isn't beyond the scope of possibility.

***************
edited to clarify that Fitz himself didn't put her away

7. You know that
she never penned a story under her byline? She was a "source" AND a "target". Obviously.

3. Interesting conjecture.
But do you have anything else to back it up, other than a feeling?

From what I understand, she may very well be a former Op. But I've not heard anything to indicate that she is anywhere but in a federal pen. Now, the big question is why she chose prison rather than talking to Fitzgerald. On that point, there may be speculation.

I suspect that its simply as she says, to protect her source. Once we accept that, it becomes interesting. Why does she want to protect her source? It can't be Rove, because he's already been revealed as a source and has already released Cooper to testify. Judy doesn't go to prison for Rove.

Who then?
Would she go to prison for Hadley? Or Libby?

Now this is highly speculative. I think she may be protecting a very visible, highly placed person. It could be somebody like Condi Rice.

Or damnit, it could very well be Bolton. I can't imagine anybody going to prison for a jerk like Bolton.

5. now were talking
something really stinks with her incarceration. Timeline wise then when Bush said no to the shield mum was the word in the press.

8. You forgot to mention Scooter Libby.
He may be as an important character in this twisted plot as Rove. Now there are rumors of yet another unknown source. That's prolly Bolton.
