Some may say that I am old-fashioned, not up with the times, etc., however, I wonder what happened to the days when it was thought that fathers should provide and mothers stay home with their children. I wonder what happened to the days when children came home from school and when the called out "mom" as they walked through the door, mother answered "I'm here". I wonder what happened to the days when husband/father came home to a clean home, nice dinner, and smiling faces because a wife/mother was there and not having to work 40+ hours a week on top of keeping up with a home; thus, she is always too exhausted to give her best to the household. I just wonder where these days, these beliefs all disappeared to. Perhaps it's just that I'm too old-fashioned....

their employees a high enough salary for families to make ends meet with a single worker and considering the way the repubs and corporations are going, it won't be much longer before we're going to be forced to return to the bad old days of taking kids out of the schools (which the republican party is working so hard to destroy) and putting them to work to make enough money for the family to survive.
