This film was done by several Irish documentary artists who'd been doing a film on Hugo Chavez, and who found themselves inside the Miraflores palace DURING the coup. Apparently, they were able to just sort of act like 'one of the help' while it was all going on, and they got a lot of candid and interesting interviews.
I guess they also have some footage of the score of troops Hugo had stationed in the basement of the palace when he caught a hint of the upcoming coup a few days before (boy, was THAT a nasty surprise for Pedro Carmona, President For A Day...). Apparently the US ambassador is also on film 'congratulating' Carmona very shortly after the coup was in progress.
I haven't had a chance to see it yet, since they hadn't found a distributor the last I'd heard (which was in an interview I saw with them). If CBC is picking it up, maybe they can find a way to release it on VHS/DVD soon.
