Cincinnati Enquirer endorses Schmidt
No big surprise here, folks. The Cincy Enquirer in the biggest RW rag in journalism and they never met a Republican for whom they didn't bend over and grab their ankles.

Here's the endorsement from the paper:

Schmidt for Congress: Republican offers better experience, fit for 2nd District


On Tuesday, Southern Ohio faces a crucial election, as residents of the 2nd Congressional District choose between two capable candidates to replace former Rep. Rob Portman in the U.S. House.

Much of this diverse district - which stretches across seven counties from the eastern neighborhoods of Cincinnati and eastern suburbs of Hamilton County through rural Adams County to Portsmouth in Scioto County - continues to struggle economically. Its various communities have specific needs in infrastructure, transportation, jobs, education and social services.

The candidate who is more in tune with the views of the district's residents, better understands their needs and is in a better position to help meet them should be the one who goes to Washington.

But some of the positions he's staked seem simplistic and not terribly well thought-out. He says the entire Patriot Act should be rejected - even those provisions that actually have enhanced Americans' civil liberties.

Huh? Which Patriot Act provisions have enhanced civil liberties? I must've missed those.

He derides Bush's tax cuts, despite growing evidence they have helped the economy.

What? The tax cuts for the insanely wealthy that have resulted in the largest deficits in the history of mankind? Yeah, man. That really helped the economy. Right.
