The downward spiral- a woman's downfall shown in mugshots
Many here have probably seen this before, but some may not have. This depicts something all the more horrific because it's true, and right in front of our eyes.

4. Oh man...That really illustrates it.

The first pic looks like she is in the experimental stage. Her in the second picture looks like somebody I would have partied with back in the day, she looks real confidant, like she is invincible. Pics three and four is serious addiction and it looks like pic five is where she started selling herself for her addiction.

5. I'll say this every time this pic is posted
If only she would have been offered help (rehab) at mug-shot 3 or 4, the other arrests might not have ever happened.

This series of pics doesn't just show the decline of a nice girl into meth addiction, it shows the complete failure of the war on (some) drugs.

7. It's not a record of meth addiction
At least, it's never been claimed to be. It's 14 years of criminality and hard living, beginning in 1983.

11. It'snot that simple. I wish it were.
I do agree, however, that every drug user (and drunk driver, and every other addict that gets in trouble with the law) should be given access to free treatment, but unfortunately, they have to be ready for it, which usually means "hitting bottom" -- wherever "bottom" is for the individual.

I volunteered for a while with CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates), advocating for children taken away from their parents by Children's Services because of abuse or neglect (most often, there was drugs and alcohol involved). These women and some men were given access to free treatment, yet few were able to take satisfactory advantage of it. I cant fault them, it's simply part of the process they have to go thru and the drugs (esp. meth) just won't let go of these women.

having a living a meaningful existence and being down and out. That is the reason I try to help a down and outer as much as I can.

I know a couple of guys who had nice jobs, nice families and ended up barely making ends meet with no families.

I don't know who this woman is and do not know why she is where she is. All, I know is she a person who needs help.

It would be easy to pass judgment, but that is not for me do.

One thing that bothers the heck out of me are these smug yuppies who act as if the world owes them a living. If you are making decent money, you have an obligation to help your brothers and sisters.

Bush would not give this woman a dime, nor would his figgin' supporters.

10. because it is the christian thing to do.
If she is in trouble, it is her job to fix it, unless of course, she is pregnant, then, damn her if she seeks to abort.
No way will charity or support be available, except through a few cherished faith based initiatives.
