Some people think the media is too liberal. Other people think the media is too conservative.
I think one thing we can all agree on is that the media is dominated by stupid people, regardless of ideology.
Driving today, I heard Tim Russert on the radio interviewing the Discovery crew. He asked them if they were "fearful" about the problem with the foam coming off the external tank during launch and possibly damaging the orbiter, as happened to Columbia a couple of years ago.
WHAT A STUPID BLEEPING QUESTION.
First of all, Collins and her crew are astronauts. Even if they were "fearful," they sure aren't going to admit it to Tim Russert. You don't go up into space without betting your life. Space travel is not and likely never will be routine. Risk is the business of astronauts, and they all accept this.
I know this is a minor thing, but the question just really pissed me off. What the hell did Russert think they were going to say? Idiot.
