This woman died today. She had lost $115,000 gambling and had stolen from her employer and was due in court tomorrow.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Emergency crews pulled a woman out of an artificial moat at the Isle of Capri Casino Friday afternoon.

Police said it was unclear how she got in the water.

"Two people were leaving, they saw a purse and cards. So they went and got security and it was casino security that found her in the water," Sgt. Brad Lemon said.

Crews had to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation on her. She was taken to a hospital, but her condition is not known.

Casino management told KMBC that the matter is under investigation.

"We are currently reviewing video tape to see if we can find out if she was pushed or whether this was an attempt to commit suicide," Lemon said.
