Raffi Palmiero....you're killin' be buddy.....
....ah jeez....of all the guys up there this spring testifying on Cap Hill about 'Roids in baseball....Rafael Palmiero was the LAST guy I thought was on the juice....obviously, he was called to the Hill for a reason. Dang. Fuck...makes McGwire's "I don't want to talk about the past" shit look at least understandable...in terms of 'yeah, I did it, but I don't want to fucking talk about it"....I mean Palmiero went up there, and like a Boy Scout denounced 'Roids up and down, and swore up and down he was clean and that he'd do all he could do to help clean up baseball. Innocent till proven guilty and all that....but now's his chance.

2. I was wondering the same thing.
He wouldn't be if he never touched the stuff. At the time, his statement may have been accurate, though I doubt it.

5. Was he under oath at the time? I don't know if that matters or not
but if he wasn't under oath then he probably won't face any legal problems.

7. Yup, he's been suspended for 10 games.
He lied before Congress.

He could be in deep shit.

6. During yesterdays game, WSox announcers went to great lengths to
explain how Raffi receive a personal telephone call of congratulations from his 'friend' President George W. Bush after Raffi's 3000th hit.

Wonder what Raffi's friend thinks now?

9. I said somethign similar right after the hearings.
Mark McGwire may have looked like a shit during the hearings, refusing to testify and all, but he's the ONLY one that will be protected from Perjury in the aftermath. After all, we all know that they ALL did steriods anyway. McGwire is the only one who didn't lie to Congress about it. Jesus Raphy, you'd think that after you lied to Congress, you'd stop doing it. What an idiot.
