Building a solid case against a vast criminal organization takes oodles of time. I am far more encourged by the fact he's taken so long to get this far than I would be had this information come out immediately.

The only reason we know any of it at all is because those bits of information are so solid, public exposure doesn't threaten them. Have patience for what else is hidden in there.

You don't really want Fitz to rush his conclusion. It's much better to be right and sure than fast and miss something.

I trust Fitz. He's a real hard a** attorney who doesn't seem to care about party, prominence or money, just about securing justice.

It's likely not to extend beyone Oct 1st. This already August, so we're only talking about 2 months! We've waited for 2+ years, we can last another 2 months!

The courts have been completely locked down by the Federalist Society. The judges will just dismiss the charges.

He did so because of the enormity of the 'national security' breach Fitzgerald was already able to present to the court before February, 2005.

With all we now know, that we did not know in Jan/Feb 2005, we can expect the case Mr Fitzgerald has assembled is going to be devastating.

If I were Bush, Cheney, Rice, Gonzales, Feith, Perle, Wolfowitz, Rove, Libby, ......, you betcha I'd have a bunch of big-buck lawyers on retainer.

Because right now nobody, not even Fitzgerald, knows who - - if anybody - - did anything illegal.

He could come to the end of his investigation and determine that no laws were broken.

He could end up indicting one or two (relatively) low level CIA officials.

He could decide that Bush's involvement (if any) was not criminal or even unethical.

And even if Fitzgerald finds that Bush and/or Cheney broke the law, it will take time and a hell of a lot of effort to impeach them. And what will impeaching them get you? President Dennis Hassert. Unless, of course, Bush pulls a Nixon first and trades a pardon for landing us with President McCain. Or Frist.

Be open to all possibilities, and know that victory does not usually come in one complete package. Otherwise you'll ruin your health.
