List of Fox News sponsors

I think there are too many on this list to boycott them all.

if there was a way to determine which ones advertise the most, they should be targeted for sure.

This "Skin the Fox" site looks pretty interesting (link at end)...

6. I guess Cingular Wireless has got to go
That's the only sponsor up there that I currently patronize as a customer. Oh well, no one calls me on my cell phone anymore, anyway.

I completely agree with the importance of writing them. The important thing is to LET THEM KNOW why you are no longer going to be a customer.
I'll be sure to tell them as I hand in my final payment on a bill and cancel my service.

Well, Dodge itself didn't get any of my money.

And I have the radio tuned to AirAmerica all the time.

Serves them right.

9. I don't thing a few people boycotting all these companies is effective
we need to:

pinpoint the biggest advertiser(s)

and

get LOTS of people to do it. more than just DUers.... we need MoveOn, DFA, DNC, .... all these orgs to get involved.

10. Progressive Insurance? OMG, I thought they were "good guys".
They've got a lot of nerve calling themselves "progressive". If they support Faux, they should change the name to "Regressive".

11. So much for buying a Dodge and I told them why
We've been new vehicle shopping and had decided on a Dodge since we've had good luck with them. We were going to go car shopping tonight, but something came up. I just wrote them and told them why we have just decided not to buy one after all. Thanks for the heads up.

28. Follow up
I received a standard form email back. Weird thing is that they tracked down the Dodge in my spouse's name and listed recall work not yet finished. They apparently went to the trouble of comparing home address to their database.

13. How about letting the companies know you're displeased?
If you don't like who they sponsor let them know. I don't know how much good it really does, but I have on occasion written to some when I didn't like who they sponsored.

17. Nothing Wrong With The List
Just because they advertise there (sponsor) doesn't mean they hold strong political views with the network.

They are just trying to market. There is nothing incredibly EEEEEVIL about 85-90% of these companies.

There is something wrong with pigeon holing them as solid RW supporters.

20. the point is not that they are evil
the point is that FOX NEWS is evil. and if we can get these companies to listen to their customers, perhaps some of them will stop supporting fox news.

that's why I said several times, this is not meant to be a list of companies to boycott. it's a starting point.

21. My bad in misinterpreting your post but
Edited on Tue Aug-02-05 12:00 PM by YOY
but from the raw marketing POV, I cannot see any of them changing their ways unless the freeps started complaining about their involvement in contributing to anything democratic and attempting to boycott them for it or the general public were to be disgusted with the network as a whole.

A company is a company and profits are profits. If the executive officer finds more profit in marketing via one-route over another then they will: regardless of political agenda of the medium in which they feel is effective (most of the time...if they are smart) or complaints from the public aimed at that medium.

The greater majority of the public would have to view Faux in a highly negative way to the point where the company would feel that brand association is a danger to their product. Those levels would have to be extreme in percentage and justified in intensity. (they are only justified right now...not extreme.)

Since most viewers of Faux news do not view the program they are watching to be a steaming pile of propaganda and vile lies as we do then they have no reason to distrust or suspect any sponsors.

Forgive me for being skeptical...but I just don't think this would be effective in getting these companies to stop supporting Faux.

Excuse me for thinking like an MBA, I am one.

Edited for spelling and grammar.
