I could read this stuff for hours, it's hilarious. There are one or two reasonable people there (at least as far as science is concerned) but the majority are hard core young earth creationists. They think that all science of is a lie. They think that if we don't have all the answers then 'goddidit'.

If you think that their political views are medieval , wait till you see what they think about evolution in particular and science in general. The modern conservative wants to build a bridge to the 14th century.

I asked the class, "How many of you have been to church?" They all raised their hands. I said, "Good. So you know about 'intellegent design'". Now you're going to hear the scientific facts. What could they do? Fire me? I was doing my student tour. :)
