Poll question: Selective Poll for '08 Election. Which one would get your vote?
Edited on Tue Aug-02-05 12:30 PM by KoKo01
I've left some candidates who might be running out ...just to get a feel of what folks around here think of these three. If your choice was ONLY these three and no one else for Dem Candidate.

1. Didn't you just do this yesterday?
Could you stop it? Who's running for Congress in your district next year? Senate? Anything interesting besides these ridiculous polls?

4. No...it wasn't me. I did a poll on all the candidates last week but not
yesterday. I agree with you about focusing on '08. I don't have a candidate yet that I think could win ...it's too early. But, folks here are very interested in the Candidates who are running. No matter how many of us try to focus on 06 it seems that 08 is being made an issue by the candidates themselves who might be running and the DLC with the new Hillary appointment.

8. No, they really aren't
Most people are interested in organizing for 2006, working on issues facing Congress and local areas, all kinds of things. But 2008? Not really, except for these stupid polls that serve no purpose except to pit people against each other.

12. Sunday isn't yesterday. That was an "inclusive poll." This one is
exclusive.

5. if you don't like them...
don't read them.

I think we all understand the importance of 2006.

That doesn't mean that we can't speculate on 2008.

(my district, Wm. Lacy Clay vs. some poor Repub who won't have much of a chance, probably...Senate...Jim Talent vs. a Dem...maybe Claire McCaskill?

16. Yes, and I'm not saying that you don't have the right to express that
I just don't understand why you feel the need.

If you don't like them, why not just ignore them?

This poster just posted one two days ago. At some point, one wonders what the real purpose is.

9. That's a pretty absurd poll.
Like these three are the most likely people to end up as the nominee? Puhleeze. I'll vote for virtually anyone who gets chosen, but I doubt VERY VERY much it's going to be any of these.

13. None of them would be my first choice.

To put it politely.

If Wes Clark decided not to run, and Al Gore denounced the DLC, and any attachment to it, I could maybe live with him on the ticket, but they are all so "been there, done that".

It's Wes Clark for me.

19. Has anyone noticed this?
The Repugs make out any Democratic cadicate to be an off the chart leftist lunatic, which is why the above could not run, but how long will it take them to apply that lie to whoever runs?

20. unless we could find another Bill Clinton...with a gift... I don't know.
Edited on Tue Aug-02-05 07:15 PM by KoKo01
So many DU'ers are looking for a "hero." Or, maybe some not looking for that but at least a Dragon Slayer who appeals to all Americans.

The current crop of "wannabee's" seems to not fit any of this. Hillary might have a chance because some Dems are looking for the "silver tongued" Bill to REALLY be the Pres instead of Hillary.

I think that Bill Clinton had much "unfinished business." And, maybe his whole Presidency was really just DLC. I still believe he was a better man than what we saw. But, Hillary (whom I always defended) has become a distraction with her "DLC" antics.

Who knows how it will sort out. I'm just sick of "TOP DOWN" DEM Party Politics. If they never listen to their base/activists...then why the hell do they deserve our loyalty? ABB might come to "ABD" if the DLC'ers and "New Dems" keep pushing us towards PNAC's view of the world and the Corporate butt kissing.
